Saturday marked the 10th annual Hershey's Giant Easter Egg Hunt the major fundraiser for @Discovery North Bay.

Director Jennifer Buell says the event is the major fundraiser for the museum’s programming activities and although this year wasn’t a sell out the event was still a success.

“We had 500 wristbands and still have a few left,” she explains.

“We didn’t sell out last year either but still did very well, and we are so grateful to Hershey’s for their continued support of the event.”

Buell says weather was a bit of an issue leaving the ground conditions dodgy which made for some intense moments, but she said the city crews were a great help and put down sand before the kids arrived.

“Normally we have the Easter egg hunt on the football field but was just a skating rink this morning,” she explains.

“So we shifted the festivities down the field a bit.”

Organisers expect to have final results of the event on Tuesday.
