Alliance picking and the elimination rounds will start after lunch on Saturday at approximately 1 pm.

The Near North Student Robotics team hoped on a bus Wednesday afternoon and headed south for the Waterloo Regional "FIRST" competition this weekend.

The team won the 2007 Chairman's award and have set their sights on keep that title while looking to win this year’s top prize.

The team will spend Thursday uncrating the robot, completing registration and inspection followed by practice rounds, with the competition taking place Friday and elimination matches on Saturday.
