Local man charged with robbery

Reports indicate that a local man is facing charges after an alleged robbery Saturday.

North Bay City Police were called to a robbery in progress at Guardian Drugs on Algonquin just before 6pm. Upon arrival police gave chase and apprehended the suspect a short distance from the scene.

Mathieu Lanouette 32 year old of McIntyre Street is charged with robbery, use of an imitation firearm while committing an offence, disguise with intent, and breach of probation.

Lanouette will have a bail hearing Monday.
