POVERTY AFFECTS US ALL!
Join us to learn more about poverty reduction and what is happening at the local and provincial levels
WHEN?
Tuesday, February 26th, 2008: 6-9pm (refreshments will be served)
WHERE?
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23.
150 First Ave West, North Bay.
WHY?
Communities across Ontario are organizing to consult with the Ontario Government on a plan for poverty reduction. It is important that we promote a policy framework for poverty reduction that focuses on the living conditions and life opportunities for low-income people. Our goal is building healthy communities for all.
We urge you to plan to attend this event and to join with other citizens in North Bay:
- To hear about what North Bay and Sudbury are doing to tackle poverty at the local level
- To learn more about the proposed poverty reduction framework at the provincial level
GUEST SPEAKERS INCLUDE:
Marvyn Novick, Social Planning Network of Ontario and CAMPAIGN 2000
Janet Gasparini, Social Planning Council of Sudbury, Sudbury City Councillor
Tiffany Nunner, North Bay RideShare Program Co-ordinator
This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. R.S.V.P by Wednesday, February 20th to:
