Traffic stop leads to drug bust

On the 11th of Feb. shortly before 11 PM Cst. Scott McFarlane of the North Bay Police Service had occasion to stop a male person driving a vehicle on Lakeshore Dr.
During this search the officer became suspicious when he allegedly saw what he thought was a needle being dropped on the ground.

As the officer attempted to arrest the individual he began resisting and other officers assisted in effecting the arrest.

William LATOUR 29 years old of No Fixed Address is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and resisting Arrest.

Officers seized what is believed to be cocaine, marijuana, a variety of pills and other drug paraphernalia. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
