Chippewa’s new dance calendars are now on sale

The impressive calendars feature high school students who study dance in Chippewa’s new (in its second year) dance program. Andrea Lefebvre, the director and teacher of the program, local photographer Liz Lott, TWG Communications and the dance students of Chippewa have worked together to create a truly unique fundraising item for the dance company.

In September and October the dancers worked with Lott taking pictures in various dance movements in some of the city’s most cherished outdoor attractions such as Sunset Point, Duchesnay Falls and the Birchaven Cove.

The calendar was initiated not only to help promote the new dance program at Chippewa, but to also raise funds for the dance company travels including a trip “Pulse,” the Ontario Youth Dance Conference in May.

Officials say the calendar is also timely as it commemorates the year of Chippewa’s 50th anniversary.
