Search warrant leads to ecstasy bust

On Thursday January 24th 2008, members of the Joint Forces Drug Unit, which is comprised of the Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Section and the North Bay Police Service, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a North Bay residence.

As a result of the search, 130 grams of cocaine, 785 ecstasy tablets and 8 grams of marihuana was seized.

The street value of the drugs seized is $32,710.

CHARGED ARE:

1. Lennox YOUNG, age 34, of Scarborough

- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking- 2 Counts

- Possession of a controlled substance –1 Count.

Held in custody pending a bail hearing.

2. Rene JOBIN, age 19, of North Bay

- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking- 2 Counts

- Released on a Promise to Appear- Court Date March 04th, 2008.
