Friday, Feb 1st, 2008
1:30pm to 3:30 pm.

The Walk n’ Swap program explores the history of North Bay’s early downtown buildings, merchants and residents. During a walking tour of downtown, children will learn about the challenges of commerce facing early North Bay settlers long before the conveniences of cars, computers and cell phones! Tour highlights include visits to early merchants, bartering for goods at an old fashioned confectionary, and a visit to North Bay’s former jail.

The hour long tour will be followed by a hot chocolate break. We will conclude the afternoon with a tour of the museum galleries. The Walk n’ Swap program is fully staff supervised and appropriate for children aged 5 to12. The cost is $10.00 per child.

The program is geared to children, but grown ups are always welcome to join us. We will take indoor breaks to warm up, but most of the tour will be outside; please dress appropriately.

Register by calling the museum at 476-2323. Registration is limited.
