Environmental Public Health Week runs from January 14 to 20 to recognize the importance of Public Health Inspectors employed in the Public Health System across Canada.

Environmental health issues continue to be a priority locally and throughout the country. Certified Public Health Inspectors are committed to protecting public health through their maintaining of health standards in a variety of public settings.

“Public Health Inspectors work with many different people in the community – from public and private water operators to various government Ministries to business owners,” said Mike Duncan, Environmental Health Program Manager, from the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit. “Environmental Public Health Week is an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of health inspectors in your community.”
