Search warrant leads to drug charges

On Thursday January 10th 2008, members of Project "Northern Gateway" (a joint investigation between members of the Ontario Provincial Police and North Bay Police Service), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a North Bay residence.
Officers located cocaine, Cannabis marihuana, and $930.00 cash. The seized drugs have a potential street value of approximately $4700.00. Five persons have been charged.

CHARGED:

1. Dani Raymond ST. PIERRE (dob 26Apr62) of North Bay. Held for a bail hearing on 11Jan08 in North Bay Provincial Court.

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (cocaine).
• Breach of recognizance, sec 145(3) of the Criminal Code.

2. John Richard SEARLE (dob 15Apr60) of North Bay. Released via Promise to Appear with conditions.

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (cocaine).

• Possession of a controlled substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (Cannabis marihuana).

3. Jennifer Marie DEPENCIER (dob 04Jun78) of North Bay. Released via Promise to Appear with conditions.

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (cocaine).

4. Cindy Jane DIVER (dob 17Dec71) of South River. Released via Promise to Appear with conditions.

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (cocaine).

5. Christopher Brett SMITH (dob 06Jun66) of North Bay. Released via Promise to Appear with conditions.

• Possession of a controlled substance contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (cocaine).

• Breach of recognizance, sec 145(3) of the Criminal Code.
