Annual Ricciuti bash a smash

For the 11th year in a row Carmine Ricciuti, along with the gang from Twiggs Coffee shop and EZRock joined together for the common goal of making Christmas brighter for area families in need.

The annual live on air Christmas Special to benefit the North Bay Santa Fund kicked off bright and early this morning when the crew hit the air waves with a variety of Christmas wishes, carols, and community merriment.

People from the community poured in from 6am and 9am making donations as well as picking up their morning java fix, and in three short hours the Santa Fund got a $30,000 shot in the arm.

“We are pleased to announce that this year over $32,000 was raised, thanks to North Bay listeners who showed their support by making donations and bidding on our auction items,” Amber Livingstone EZ Rock Promotions Director notes in an email release.

“And thanks to Twiggs Coffee Company's generous donation of the morning’s coffee proceeds.”

Packing of the food hampers will commence this Saturday, December 22nd at 5:30pm at the Troy Armouries, 540 Chippewa St. West, with deliveries getting underway at 9am Sunday.
