From paintings to movie trailers the arts students at Widdifield Secondary School had it covered Tuesday night with the opening of the schools biannual ‘Arts Fest’ Tuesday night.
Students from grade 9 to 12 showcased what they learned during the first semester of the 07/08 school year at the same time entertaining the general public and causing some parents to gush with pride.
The showcase features everything from visual and media arts, vocals and band, dance to dramatic arts, and Emcee Sarah Biel pointed out to Tuesday’s audience that for a number of students ‘Arts Fest’ is the first show a number of the kids have participated in.
Arts Fest continues tonight and Thursday December 13th, doors open at 6:30pm for viewing of the fine arts displays with show performances following at 7pm.
