They weren’t open for business Friday but it was hard to find a seat at the new Boston Pizza. The invitation only opening was a test drive for the chain’s grand opening of the new restaurant located at 50 Josephine Street for Monday, December 3rd.

The restaurant will create 75 new jobs in the community and is owned by long-time North Bay resident Mike Gibb, who brings 17 years of experience to the new location.

"We're looking forward to opening our doors to serve the growing community of North Bay," says Gibb. "We will offer our guests the same high quality food and service that people have come to expect from Boston Pizza restaurants across the country."

Along with the economic shot in the arm that the restaurant brings to the city, the restaurant will also support local sporting clubs and charitable organisations like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the North Bay and District Hospital Foundation.
