Skyhawks talk more than just hockey

Members of the North Bay Skyhawks; AJ Shiverdecker, Travis Bradshaw, Justin Roy and David Ciminelli thrilled students at Phelps Public School in Redbridge when they stopped by for a visit Tuesday.

The players visit was organized through Student Nutrition Program coordinator Viviane Degagne, where the grade 7/8 students had an opportunity to speak to the kids about the importance of school, a good education, and maintaining a proper healthy diet, and of course there was time to share their hockey stories and reflect on career goals.

Degagne is working with the Skyhawks team to deliver refreshing milk and food snacks to over 500 students this year in the Nipissing, Parry Sound and Muskoka Districts.
