Downtown North Bay (The DIA) along with its membership is presenting its 19th Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas Walk on Friday November 23, 2007 from 6 PM to 9 PM.

The evening festivities will kick off with the ceremonial CIBC/Downtown Christmas tree lighting at the Downtown Parkette (corner of Main & Fraser) at 6 PM with representatives from all levels of government.

We will continue the tradition of horse and wagon rides, refreshments, music and merriment throughout Downtown. Horse & Wagon rides will continue on Saturday, November 24 from 10 AM until Noon. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be here both days.

We are teaming up with North Bay Hydro during this event for a Christmas of Conservation where households will be able to exchange their older Christmas lights for a string of energy efficient LED Christmas Lights. This will occur in the Walkway located at 133 Main Street W. Limited one set per household.

Downtown North Bay is happy to announce some of activities for this event including Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre highlights of the Wizard of Oz; The Rorab Shrine Club Clowns, various Church and community carollers, Chippewa Secondary School Musicians, the Ralph Burton Band, the Salvation Army Band, Snowboard Demonstrations and of course participation from the DIA Merchants.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday November 23 from 6 PM to 9 PM where you can DO IT ALL in DOWNTOWN NORTH BAY
