Shoplifter tries to obstruct police

On the 7th of Nov. during the late afternoon hours it is alleged that Csts. Helene Boissonneault and Mark McLeod of the North Bay Police attended at the North Bay Mall in regards to a shoplifter in custody.

Once the officers commenced their investigation it was found that the name given to then by the person in custody was false.

Steven SAWYER 18 years old of No Fixed Address is charged with Obstruct Police and Possession of Stolen Property. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.
