Kathy Jeanneault the founder and operator of ALL HEART PET RESCUE (430 Oakwood Road, Powassan Ontario) has found herself at full capacity in the Pet Rescue building she had built through years of fundraising with volunteers.

She has a record high 43 canines in her care, all large breed, which include puppies, and 38 felines in her care.

Her phone is ringing day and night with people that are unable to keep their animals, and Kathy is spending most of her time tending to the animals 'hands on' needs, while operating a successful boarding business BEAR CREEK KENNELS. On top of that she is a single mom with three children actively participating on winning sports teams throughout the North Bay area. Mathieu 17 on the Junior Skyhawks team, Scollard Hall Bears Sr. Football team, and High school Golf Team. Adam 12 at St Gregory’s in Powassan on the school Cross Country Team, Volley ball team, Baseball team and plays Pee Wee Hockey for the Powassan Hawks Rep Team. Madison 8 involved with swimming at the YMCA.

Some of the animals at All Heart Pet Rescue have been saved from being dumped into garbage cans, left at the dump to die, abandoned in homes that people have purchased, on death row in a shelter and given a second chance by coming to ALL HEART. One dog has just passed his one year anniversary awaiting a home at the pet rescue. 'Shadow' a senior Husky Shepherd that Kathy is in love with will eventually find the right home, while two cats in her program have recently had their one year anniversary at the pet rescue waiting for the right family to adopt them as well.

All animals are fixed while in Kathy's care, brought back to health, temperament tested, and some dogs given basic obedience as time permits.

Currently Kathy has a list as of Oct 27 of 8 different people that want to bring in cats, many of them once strays from areas without a cat by law, people moving and unable to bring pets, or people that have newly acquired health issues.

The rescue is currently in need of either more space and volunteers, or temporary foster homes, or permanent adoptive homes.

While each animal has been given medical attention there is a fee for each to go toward the up keep.

Rescue is in need of money for up keep, straw/hay for bedding, Cat litter, Cat food, Puppy Food, Dog biscuits, Buckets, Brooms, Mops, Garbage Bags, Polysporin Antibiotic DROPS. Dog collars, Paper towel.
