Woman struck by stolen street sweeper

Today on the 18th of Oct. a street sweeper that was left on a sidewalk in the 200 block of Main St. E was stolen by a male who attempted to drive the vehicle.

In so doing he began backing up and struck an adult female pedestrian who was nearby.

She was brought to the Hospital by Ambulance where she remains with non life threatening injuries.

The driver then ran towards Wyld St. and made his escape.
Police are now seeking a male approximately 19 years old with dark black hair and wearing a ball cap and carrying a pack sack.
