Man with axe is victim

On the 4th of Oct. it is alleged that officers of the North Bay Police were called to a home on Princess St. W. in regards to a disturbance.

As the officers arrived they were met by a man who had exited the home while carrying an axe. He approached the officers and refused to drop the weapon. Eventually the man was tasered for everyone's protection.

During this time it was also learned that a man remained within the home and that allegedly this same person had stabbed two people with a screwdriver.

The officers surrounded the home and eventually the suspect tried to flee and was captured.

Ryan NEIL 30 years old of Princess St. E. is charged with 2 counts of Assault With a Weapon, 2 counts of Assault, Threatening, Breach of Probation and Mischief. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
