BREAK-IN UNDER INVESTIGATION

Elk Lake - The Temiskaming Detachment of the OPP is investigating the Break and Enter of an Elk Lake residence between the 9 and 11 September 2007.

The Ontario Provincial Police received information of the break-in on the 18 September 2007 at approximately 3:55 p.m. An undetermined amount of cash was taken from the Lake Street residence.

DAMAGE DONE TO HARBOUR PLACE

Temiskaming Shores - Temiskaming OPP is investigating the damage done to the Lattice work at Harbour Place in the former Town of Haileybury that occurred between September 19th and 20th, 2007 from the hours of 6:15 p.m. and 11:00 a.m.

Damage done to the lattice work is approximately $50.00.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance regarding the damage done to the lattice work. Please call Provincial Constable Sylvie JULIEN of the Temiskaming OPP at (705) 647-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

THEFT OF STUNT BICYCLE

Cobalt - Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the theft of a stunt bicycle that was taken from a residence in the Town of Cobalt from the 18 and 19 September 2007 between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

OPP officers received the report of the theft on the 19 September 2007 at approximately 4:00 p.m. The bicycle that was taken is described as a black Mongoose stunt bike, valued at approximately $100.00.

THEFT FROM COTTAGE

Temagami - Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the theft from a cottage on Wilson Lake Road in Temagami between the 13th and 20th September 2007.

OPP officers were notified of the break and enter on the 20th September 2007 at approximately 12:50 p.m. Taken from the property is a 15 hp Johnson Outboard Motor valued at approximately $2,000.00 also taken is a 12 volt Battery Charger and 24 cans of soft drinks.

WOMAN FACES DRINKING AND DRIVING CHARGES

Temiskaming Shores - A Dack Township woman is facing drinking and driving charges after being stopped by a member of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police in a R.I.D.E Program on the 20th September 2007 at approximately 12:50 p.m.

Vehicle was stopped in the R.I.D.E. Program which was being operated at the intersection of Whitewood Avenue and Lakeshore Drive in the City of Temiskaming Shores.

Further investigation by the police has resulted in charges of driving a vehicle while having consumed more than the legal amount of alcohol and Impaired Driving, Mischief Under $5,000.00 and Assault Police. Patricia MARCOTTE 20 of Dack Township will appear in Haileybury Court on the 16 November 2007.
