The Hockeyville weekend is officially underway with several on ice clinics from 9am to noon at the Pete Palangio Arena.
In advance of Monday's big NHL exhibition game at Memorial Gardens between the Atlanta and New York the Hockeyville committee have several events scheduled today including a charity barbecue at Canadore College from 1pm-3pm. The Stanley Cup will be on exhibit, and an NHL alumni autograph session is the focus of the event. The cost is $10 dollars for adults and $5 dollars for children under 12.
Among the NHL alumni in attendance for the session will be Peter Mahovalich, Brian Trottier, Gary Leeman, Ken Morrow, Jeff Odgers and Troy Crowder. Tickets available at the Gardens box office.
The Stanley Cup can also be viewed free of charge from 4pm-8pm at Rollie Fisher Field in the picnic shelter area.
