Trustee launches discussion group

As a Public School Trustee of the Near North District School Board, I believe that it is important that our students, parent, grandparents, teachers, and educational support staff have an opportunity to voice their concerns, opinions and constructive suggestions on education matters.

As an elected Trustee, I need to know what Near North School Supporters are thinking!

So I am attempting to reach out via cyber space and have created a discussion group on the popular facebook.com named Near North District Public School Supporters. This is a site that I have created and is not directly associated to the Near North District School Board.

I hoping that as many people will voice their concerns on this site and that it will allow me as a Trustee to have more access to our larger school community. This will assist me in being better informed in representing the best interests of our students.

This week's topic is about how the Trustee's should spend the new $2.1 monies that the Ont. Government has recently announced.
