Man charged with threatening and weapons dangerous

On the 20th of Aug. Cst. Ken Ayres of the North Bay Police received information that a man was at the District Jail on Trout Lake Rd. threatening staff with a cut piece of glass.

This man had allegedly attended and demanded the release of a prisoner and menaced staff in the process. He eventually left after having also allegedly threatened to blow the institution up.

He later made his way to a retail store and stole property of the employees and then left again.

He was eventually apprehended near the train tracks on Trout Lake Rd. by the officer. While awaiting disposition in the police cell, the individual damaged a light.

Brent ALDERSON 23 years old of No Fixed Address is charged with Threatening, Weapons Dangerous, Theft and Mischief. He remained in custody for a bail hearing.
