Avid BayToday.ca reader, Joanne Logan, submitted the traffic photo above.

She tells BayToday just after the lunch out it was bumper to bumper traffic on Highway 11 south from Huntsville all the way to Toronto.

Logan also informs us that the average speed was 20 to 40 km an hour, and in the heat and haze filled day it was a 6 hour trip from North Bay to Toronto, versus the usual 3 1/2 hours.

“Thank God for air conditioning! North bound highway was clear,” she notes.
