A replica of the historical Trojan horse warning of the dangers of health care privatization is coming to North Bay on Thursday, August 2.

The 15-foot Trojan horse is touring the province and visiting communities, summer fairs, festivals and health care facilities. The tour is travelling to over 30 communities and launched in Kenora on July 18.

WHAT: Trojan horse warning of privatization's threat to public health care

WHERE: North Gate Shopping Mall, North Bay

WHEN: Thursday, August 2, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

The province-wide tour is organized by the Ontario Health Coalition (OHC). The OHC created the giant wooden horse to bring the dangers of public-private hospitals and other health care privatization to the public's attention.

The OHC is the broadest public interest group on health care in Ontario. Its network is strengthened by over 400 grassroots community organizations, including over 50 local health coalitions in communities across the province.
