1. Current Situation

There were five new fires reported yesterday in Kenora, Bancroft, Pembroke, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury districts. All fires remained small and presented no problems for suppression.

The fire hazard is moderate to high throughout the province. Cloud and rain has moved into the west from Manitoba today and will cover most of the province north of Lake Huron by Tuesday/Wednesday.

One hundred and thirty seven fire staff continues to work on FEU 482 near Chibougamau, Quebec. Demobilization of this fire will start later this week with the majority of staff returning to Ontario on Thursday and the remainder on Friday.
