New businesses to open this summer

The Business Centre is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of Summer Company, a provincial program that awards up to $3,000 to students running a summer business. After a competitive process, 18 young entrepreneurs were selected and will be starting their summer ventures throughout the region.

The following is a list of the types of services that will be offered:

- Drama Camp for Children

- Lawn Maintenance & Landscaping

- Photography Services

- Graphic Design & Web Development

- Wood Furniture Manufacturing/Retail

- Tutoring Services

- Web Design & Technical Repair

- Custom Screen Printing

- Aquarium & pond maintenance services

- Clothing Design

- Wholesale Bait Services

- Roofing

- Smoothie stand

- Photo cards

Please join us as we recognize these students for their hard work, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment at the official 2007 Summer Company launch. The students will be introduced to business leaders from the community who will be on hand throughout the summer to provide mentorship and support.
