Local Liberals pick new president

The Nipissing-TimiskamingFederal Liberal Riding Association held its Annual General meeting on Saturday June 23, 2007. The Executive was chosen for the upcoming year. Local lawyer, Gregory DuCharme was selected as President. Vice-President for North Bay is Peter Gavan; Vice-President North is Rita Smirle; Vice-President East is John Wilson; and Vice President South is Christina Golding. A number of new directors were also chosen for the Executive.

Membership has grown significantly over the past year and the Association continues to have a strong base. The Executive will focus on further increasing membership over the upcoming year.

The meeting also heard from MP Anthony Rota who summarized his accomplishments over the past few months and outlined his goals for the upcoming months.

The aims of the Association were reviewed. Principal amongst these objects are to provide assistance of all forms to the sitting member of Parliament.
