City to launch new website

On Wednesday, June 27, 2007 the City of North Bay’s and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development’s new websites go live!

The City’s website www.cityofnorthbay.ca has undergone some very exciting changes. We’re pleased to present a fresh new look with comprehensive information, easy to read content, improved ease of navigation and upgraded functionality.

The Mayor’s Office of Economic Development website, www.investinnorthbay.ca is a new site that will help to provide the information necessary to site selectors and business that want to expand and grow in North Bay.

Through partnerships with FedNor, Northern Ontario Heritage Fund (NOHFC), the Canadian Investment Support Program (CISP), Bell Canada and North Bay Jack Garland Airport both websites bring with them new tools, such as a completely updated Municipal Business Directory, new PDF Packaging Tool and GIS Site Selector Tool.

With the assistance of the funding partners, the City of North Bay has been able to enhance its GIS Site Selector capabilities to include interactive mapping, property information, zoning and satellite imagery; enhance the Municipal Business Directory; and create and translate economic sector information in to various languages to encourage foreign investment.
