OPP seek public’s assistance with missing Tilden Lake woman (update)

At 11:40 P.M. the missing person was located by civilians along the shore of Tilden Lake and delivered to waiting OPP officers at the Public Dock.

She was in good health and was turned over to waiting family members.

North Bay OPP are currently searching for a missing person from theTilden Lake area, Ontario.

On Saturday June 23rd, 2007 around 6:00 p.m., North Bay OPP responded to an incident involving an overdue Tilden Lake resident. Lavinia Snowden, age 81 years old, of Tilden Lake, Ontario was last seen near Highway 11 walking her dog at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday June 23th, 2007. She is described as being 5 foot, 3 inches tall, 130 lbs, thin build, short grey hair, blue eyes; wearing a white ball, blue jacket with pink trim, blue pants. Plastic frame glasses.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance for any information that will help the police and Lavinia Snowden’s family in locating her.
