The MNR released the following update below for the East Fire Region for Wednesday June 20th.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• 0 new; 2 active fires

• 203 fires; 2,793.2 hectares to date since Apr.1st

DETAILS:

There have been zero new fires in the last 24 hours.

Active fires include: Cochrane 20 and 22.

Cochrane 20 and 22 are lightning fires west of Fort Albany.

Wawa 20 has been called out.

The region will begin the day with a mixture of mix of sun and cloud, while a fast moving system pushing into the central region of the province will bring clouds and showers into the Boreal and Hudson Bay Zones by early afternoon.

The winds will be light to moderate with the temperatures rising to seasonal values.

The Ministry of Natural Resources reminds the public that before burning please check with your municipality to be advised of their burning regulations.

Please use caution with outdoor fires.

Never leave your fire unattended and make sure it is completely extinguished before leaving.
