Name released in Sunday's fatal accident on HWY 11

North Bay OPP continue to investigate the circumstances involved in the fatal multi vehicle collision which occurred on Highway 11 north of North Bay near the Psychiatric Hospital on Sunday June 10th, 2007.

Police, Fire and Ambulance were dispatched at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Sunday June 10th, 2007 to a multi vehicle collision involving six (6) vehicles on Highway 11, North Bay, Ontario. The vehicles ranged from cars to an SUV, to a Tractor Trailer and a Scooter. One person was confirmed deceased at the scene of the collision, and has been identified as 34 year old Michael Eckensviller of North Bay. He was the driver of the red SUV.

OPP North East Region Technical Traffic Investigators and the Forensic Identification Unit are assisting investigators with the investigation which is still ongoing.
