The North Bay Public Library is pleased to announce that its current program to encourage reduction in energy use in the community has been expanded by introducing for public use the availability of energy meters.

The Kill-a-Watt meters allow citizens to plug in individual appliances and calculate the amount of electricity being used during a specific time period. The meters will help residents make informed decisions about appliances and products used throughout the home.

The introduction of these meters supports the current partnership between North Bay Hydro and the North Bay Public Library in making available to the public Power Cost Monitors which measure total electrical usage. This program has proven to be very popular.

The new energy meters can be signed out for 3 weeks with a North Bay Public Library Card.
