Art on Main welcomes a new member, mixed media, watercolour, printmaker, pen and ink and acrylic artist, Janet Bourgeau.

Janet has been working as a professional artist for over 30 years. Originally from Sherbrooke, Quebec, she studied Fine Art at the University of Windsor before moving to North Bay in 1979. Over the years she has worked in a variety of media including mixed media, watercolour, printmaking, pen and ink and acrylic. Her original prints have won her several prizes at the Northern Ontario Art Association Annual Exhibition. She has exhibited widely across Ontario in many juried shows and in recognized galleries.

Her works are in numerous public, corporate and private collections including the Provincial Government Building, Sudbury; the Ontario Municipal Employee Retirement Board, Toronto; the Northeastern Ontario Cancer Centre, Sudbury; the Ontario Northland Railway and the City of North Bay.

She has served in many professional and volunteer positions; such as the Art Advisory Committee the City of North Bay, the White Water Gallery Board of Directors, executive positions for the North Bay Art Association and was on the Advisory Committee for Art in Public Places, Capital Centre. Janet was the Documentation Photographer for the WKP Kennedy from 1994-2005
