Two arrested in Joint Forces Drug Unit warrant

On May 24th, 2007, members of the Joint Forces Drug Unit which is comprised of the Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Section, the Ontario Provincial Police North East Region and the North Bay Police Service, assisted by the O.P.P. Canine Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a First Avenue East residence, in the City of North Bay.

Officers located and seized one pound of cannabis marihuana, two pounds of cannabis marihuana shake, 39 grams of Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) a stolen laptop computer and $10,280.00 cash.

The potential street value of the seized drugs seized is $10,000.00. Two people were arrested and charged and later released to appear in North Bay Provincial Court in July 2007.

Vincent DiFALCO –DOB: 17-Mar-88, of North Bay.

Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Sec 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). (1 count – Cannabis marihuana).
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Sec 354(1) of the Criminal Code. ( 2 Counts ).

Rebecca CHESSELL – DOB: 04-May-81, of North Bay.

Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Sec 5(2) CDSA. (2 counts – Cannabis marihuana/Psilocybin).
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Sec 4(1) CDSA. (1 Count – Cannabis marihuana).
