Widdifield Secondary School students continue to give back to the community as they present the final dance recital of their benefit series tonight.

Grade 11/12 dance and vocal classes, under the guidance of Jocelyn Bell, have spent the semester preparing a stage show that demonstrates what they have learned, and at the same time giving back to the community.

Bell, who is very proud of her students and the outcome of the program, says it has been a lot of work, but the outcome has been worth it.

The showcase numbers have all been choreographed by the students and feature dance numbers from lyrical, jazz, hip hop, modern to musical theatre.

Tonight’s performance is a benefit for the Canadian Cancer Society and will feature a special dance number to Melissa Etheridge’s ‘I Run For Life.’ Curtain time is 7:00 p.m. at the Widdifield Theatre on Ski Club Road.

Cancer Society volunteers will be on hand to sell luminaries for the upcoming Relay for Life.
