Sudbury - Hwy 144 is closed from the Watershed at Hwy 560, south to Cartier due to a forest fire approximately five kms north of Halfway Lake Provincial Park.
Halfway Lake Provincial Park has been evacuated and occupants sent to the Watershed Restaurant. The Ministry of Natural Resources have deployed water bombers.
Residents of Hwy 144 will be advised when or if they will be asked to evacuate.
