AIDS Committee launches 'Tastes of Summer'

With the arrival of the first long weekend of summer, many in the community will fire up their BBQ’s. With that in mind, the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area officially launches its Tastes of Summer BBQ fundraiser.

The Tastes of Summer BBQ gives residents the chance to do what they enjoy doing all summer anyway, barbecuing, and raise money for the AIDS Committee at the same time.

To participate in the Tastes of Summer BBQ all you have to do is follow these three simple steps.

1. Host a summer BBQ at your home or work.

2. Encourage each of your guests to make a donation to the AIDS Committee. We suggest $15.00, but we’re willing to negotiate a higher rate.

3. Hosts then forward their barbecue money to the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area.

Hosts will receive a charitable receipt. All proceeds from the barbecue go to the men, women and youth in the area affected and infected with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C.
