The Dionne Quints Museum will be opening for the season this Friday, May 18, 2007.

The museum will be open 10am to 4pm, Monday through Sunday.

The museum features the original Dionne homestead with Quint artifacts and photographs. With admission, visitors receive entrance to the house, and a guided tour. Tours are available in both French and English and the facility is also wheelchair accessible.

The Dionne Quintuplets were the world’s first set of identical quintuplets to survive for more than a couple hours. Born in May, 1934, the Quints attracted over three million visitors to North Bay and area during the Depression. A whole new tourist industry sprang up and provided employment for thousands in the area. The Quints helped millions of people feel happy during the Depression and forget, for a moment, their troubles. Come down and experience a part of our local history.

The museum is located at the Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Information Center at 1375 Seymour, on the corner of Hwy 11 and 17.
