2 lives claimed in single vehicle collision (updated)

North Bay OPP are continuing to investigate the single vehicle roll-over that occurred on Hwy # 11, north of North Bay that has claimed the lives of two young men. They were travelling in a pick-up truck.

Deceased are: 26 year old James Cantin and 23 year old Jeremiah MacDonald both of North Bay. Post mortems have been scheduled for tomorrow here in North Bay.

OPP North East Region Technical Traffic Investigators, the Forensic Identification Unit and members of the North Bay OPP Detachment will continue to investigate the collision. Highway #11 is not affected. Further updates will be forwarded as more information becomes available.

North Bay OPP are at the scene of a single vehicle collision on Hwy # 11, north of North Bay and continue to investigate the collision that has claimed the lives of two people. The collision was reported this morning at around 6:00 a.m.

At this time there is no other information being released as the investigation progresses. Highway #11 remains open to traffic flow, however that may change pending investigation necessities.

OPP North East Region Technical Traffic Investigators and the Forensic Identification Unit are presently at the scene assisting investigators. An updated release shall be issued once more information is known, and next-of-kin notifications have been done.
