On the 23rd of March shortly after 4 AM. the North Bay Police Service received several calls regarding the sky lighting up a bright blue and that someone had emitted a loud scream during this same time.

Officers were sent to the Mountainview Dr. area of the city to investigate and were advised by other residents of the scream and that the power was either out or partially out.

The fire department was also called out to investigate smoke complaints.

Two police vehicles that attended had engines fail and refuse to re start. One of the vehicles had to be towed in order to re-activate it.

Eventually the problem was located and a dead racoon was found in a Ski Club Rd. transformer. No information was found concerning the scream.
