An emergency of a different sort apparently prompted a North Bay teen to make a 911 call and then hang up.
Cst. Jim Warren, of the North Bay Police Service, responded to the call and went to a city residence to check it out.
When he arrived, a 17-year-old female advised him that she was having trouble with her hair. She was cautioned about using the 911 line frivolously and told a bad hair day did not constitute an emergency. The officer then left.
