More news from the W.K.P.Kennedy Gallery

Life drawing will be returning to the Kennedy Gallery in February providing artists with the opportunity to draw the nude form. We will try to have a different model every class, classes are not instructor led and you are expected to bring your own materials (but can make use of the materials available in the supply bank). We also encourage artists to bring materials they're not using to class to donate to the supply bank.

Classes start promptly at 7:00. We ask you arrive 10- 20 minutes before class starts to pick a seat, and get set up. If you arrive after the class has started, you are expected to knock and wait at the door till someone can let you in. Classes then end immediately at 9:15.

We ask that if you are under the age of 18 that you bring with you a parental consent form, signed by your parent or guardian.

The first class is scheduled to begin February 1st at 7pm; classes will run every Monday after that, with the schedule and rules outlined above. Classes cost 12.00 for a drop in or 20.00 for 2 classes. Book ahead with the WKP Kennedy Gallery staff, by calling 474-1944 ext 231 or 234, or through email at either info@kennedygallery.org or jackiecarter.wkp@gmail.com .

If you have any further questions, contact gallery staff with the information provided. When registering for a class; provide numbers which you can be contacted at immediately, if a class must be cancelled due to poor weather conditions. If classes are cancelled you will receive a refund for that day. __________________________________________________________

International Women's Day is coming up soon and to celebrate, the Amelia Rising Sexual Assault Centre of Nipissing is holding a variety show to include art, music, dance and much more.

International Women’s Day is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. We invite all women regardless of age to come and celebrate your talent with us. It is an occasion for looking back on past struggles and accomplishments, and more importantly, for looking ahead to the untapped potential and opportunities that await future generations of women.

Deadline for Auditions, February 7 2010

The Performance will be on March 6, 2010 as the finale to International women’s week.

If you are interested in auditioning please contact us at (705) 840-2403 or email Suzanne Boyer at suzanne@ameliarising.ca
