Adopt Me: Meet bouncy, funny and curious Max (adopted)

He’s looking for a family without pets, at least to start

BayToday, in partnership with the North Bay Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Max

Bouncy, goofy, funny, curious: these are words that describe Max, the 1.5 year old German Shepherd now available for adoption at the North Bay and District Humane Society.

Max comes from Northern Quebec and recognizes commands in both official languages, so you might find yourself exclaiming “assieds, Max!” when offering him a treat.

He loves being chased, playing fetch, running around and playing. In fact, he’s so friendly and energetic that his new home should have a lot of space for Max to stretch his legs and get in at least a walk or two every day.

While Max loves people - and is a loyal boy - he’s not yet comfortable around other dogs, so he’s looking for a family without pets, at least to start. With some patience and routine, he may grow less anxious around his fellow canines.

To meet Max, call the Humane Society at 705-474-1251 or drop in to 2060 Main Street West.
