CONVEY FALSE MESSAGE At 3:00 am on the 13th of March, North Bay Police responded to a report that a man had been abducted at gunpoint in the downtown area, forced into a blue Audi and was being held for a drug debt.

At 3:00 am on the 13th of March, North Bay Police responded to a report that a man had been abducted at gunpoint in the downtown area, forced into a blue Audi and was being held for a drug debt. An investigation determined that the report was false and had been made up by the alleged victim.

Jason Laperriere 25,of Sixth Ave, was arrested at 8:30 pm on March 13 and charged with public mischief and convey false message.

He is being held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Zach Dagg and D/Cst’s Brad Reaume and Tom Robertson are investigating.
