Fatal Collision Update
The driver of the e-bike is identified as Daniel Collins 55yrs of North Bay. Mr Collins was westbound on Copeland St on his e-bike when he struck the left front fender of a Ford van that was southbound on Murray St. Cst Mark Mcleod is investigating.

Weapons/Public Mischief
At 6:00pm on July 2 a man falsely reported his wallet stolen to police then attended a Third Ave W residence where he held a knife, while banging on the door trying to get in. The door and handle were damaged in the process. He fled prior to police arrival but was located and arrested at 9:40 pm. A flick knife and a small quantity of what is believed to be marijuana were found in his possession. An 18 year old Cassell St man has been charged with public mischief, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, mischief, possession of a prohibited weapon. possession of illicit drugs, possession of a prohibited weapon while prohibited and 3 counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Stacy Jackson is investigating.

Break and Enter
Between Saturday June 30 and Monday July 2 a store on Trout Lake Rd was entered by forcing a basement window. The business was searched and an undisclosed amount of cash stolen. Cst Steve Carleton is investigating.

R.I.D.E.
The North Bay Police operated a ride program Friday evening June 29th and Saturday evening June 30th. A total of 580 vehicles were checked at several locations. One highway traffic offence was processed on Friday. One drinking and driving offence was laid on Saturday. On Saturday a pursuit was initiated when a vehicle attempted to evade the program. The pursuit was terminated when conditions became too dangerous. The driver subsequently abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle has been seized and the investigation is continuing.
