BUSY WEEKEND The North Bay Police responded to 265 calls for service over the weekend that resulted in 31 arrests. Several of the arrests were for offences related to domestic situations.
BUSY WEEKEND
The North Bay Police responded to 265 calls for service over the weekend that resulted in 31 arrests. Several of the arrests were for offences related to domestic situations. The others included arson, assaults, thefts, impaired driving, and public intoxication.

ARSON
At 10:15 pm on March 18 a patient at the Northeast Regional Health Centre lit a bed on fire. The fire was extinguished without incident. The patient has been charged with Arson and was held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Greg Dix is investigating.

MISCHIEFS
Between the 17th and the 18th of March several vehicles in a parking lot at Nipissing University had mirrors and gas doors broken. Cst Ashley St John is investigating.

MISSING PATIENTS
Two involuntary patients of the Northeast Regional Health Centre have gone missing. They were last seen together at 7:30 pm on March 18 after receiving a one hour pass. Keenan Gary Twance is described as; male, native, 52 yrs, 171 cm, 85kg, dark grey shoulder length hair, wearing a black grey and white checkered coat, and blue jeans. Keith Wheesk, male, native, 21yrs, 188cm, 68.4kg, short dark hair, wearing an olive green sweatshirt. Anyone who sees these persons is asked to call their local police agency. Cst Greg Dix is investigating.

WEAPON CHARGE
At 11:40 pm on March 17, an altercation on the 100 block of Main St E resulted in the arrest of Jesse Bergeron 23yrs of Garden Village. It was alleged that he threatened to stab people and then pulled a knife. He was charged with 2 counts of threatening, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, and 2 counts of breach of probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Geoff Whittle is investigating.

THEFT MOTOR VEHICLE
At 4:16 am on March 18 a vehicle stop of a stolen vehicle on Lamorie Dr at Birches Rd resulted in the arrest of Michael Wheesk 20yrs of Ferguson St. He was charged with theft of the vehicle, impaired driving, refuse test, drive while prohibited, and 3 counts of breach of probation. Cst Chris Marshall is investigating.

BREAK AND ENTER
Between 9:30pm on March 17th and 3:15am March 18th an apartment on the 500 block of Fraser St was entered and the premises ransacked. Property stolen includes a white with colored check Burton Troop snowboard, snowboard boots; numerous bottles of liquor, a MAC book pro computer, and a large quantity of loonies and toonies in a Smirnoff Texas mickey bottle. Cst Scott Buchanan is investigating.
