WEEKEND The North Bay Police Service responded to 269 calls for service over the weekend that resulted in 11 arrests. Offences included assaults, domestic assault, impaired driving, breach of court orders and public intoxication.

AGGRESSIVE SALES
The North Bay Police have received complaints of sales people selling water heaters that are being very aggressive when attending residences in the city. The sales persons are demanding to see the resident’s previous bills and are barging into houses when the door is answered. The North Bay Police wish to caution the public about these salesmen. When residents feel intimidated or pressured by salesmen or they refuse to leave your property when requested, you should contact the police.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON
At 3:40 pm Sat 31st Mar a man in a gold 2dr Chevy style vehicle was observed parked outside St Vincent school. The man approached a young boy and spoke to him. When the boy left the man followed him in his vehicle. The witness followed the male and told him the police were called and the man left the area. The witness spoke to the boy and was advised that the man was unknown to him. The man is described as: 50’s with greyish beard.

BREAK AND ENTER
Between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm 38th Mar a residence on Van Horne Cr was entered through a basement window. Items stolen include an Xbox 360S-halo edition and a Mac book PRO laptop. Cst Andrew Keating is investigating.

BREAK AND ENTER
Between 5:00 pm 29th Mar and 8:00 am 30th Mar a business on Golf Course Rd was entered by forcing a door. A quantity of change and car keys were stolen. Cst Geoff Whittle is investigating.

BREAK AND ENTER
At 9:11 am 01st Mar a business on Fisher St was entered by prying the lock. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Cst Barry MacIntosh is investigating.

BREAK AND ENTER
On 30th of March, a report was received of a break and enter that occurred on Algonquin Ave between 28th Feb and 12th Mar. A HP laptop was stolen along with several tools. Cst Ashley St John is investigating.
