Time to ride with West Nipissing Pride

On June 8th, the West Nipissing Pride Parade rolls through town and you’re invited to take part

West Nipissing Pride has announced that it will host a second annual Pride Parade in Sturgeon Falls. The floats will roll on Saturday, June 8th at 1 p.m., and the parade route is set to roll down Main, Queen and King Streets.

Still over a month away, parade organizers are reaching out to the community as the parade is always welcome to additional floats.

“By participating in the parade, you will have the chance to showcase your brand, products, and services to an engaged audience,” noted Michel Gervais, the president of West Nipissing Pride. “Moreover, your presence at the parade will send a powerful message of inclusion and acceptance, as well as promote diversity and standing against discrimination.”

The Pride Parade is an inclusive event that celebrates the LGBTQ2S+ community and its allies in West Nipissing, organizers emphasized.

All are welcome to enter a float or walk along in the parade to participate. If those options are not possible, Gervais welcomes everyone to “come out and enjoy the parade.”

“There are many ways to get involved and make a positive impact,” Gervais added. There’s still plenty of time to register for the parade, and you can do that by following this link and filling out the registration form.

You can also e-mail organizers at [email protected].

“Let’s make this year even bigger” Gervais exclaimed.
